Adaptive Yoga  ( By Appointment Only)

For All Levels.  Adaptive Yoga is dedicated to ALL individuals with physical disabilities or limitations.

Postures become accessible to all bodies when the experience within the posture is more

important than the form.  Students are offered assistance and extra time in transitioning from one

posture to the next.  This practice helps to improve breath awareness, sense of balance, direction, mobility, flexibility, strength and stability. It builds confidence and encourages students to shift the focus from their limitations to their limitlessness.

 

Aerial Yoga Basics or Beginners Aerial Yoga 

For All Levels.  This class is designed to cover the basics of Aerial Yoga. Learning how to invert, fly, and flow, we will use the swing to keep alignment, build strength in the body and improve flexibility. Appropriate for first time Aerial students as well as those who want to continue to learn or refine their basic Aerial practice.

 

Aerial Yoga Level 1

Please complete at least 1 Beginners Aerial or Aerial Basics class!  This class will focus on refining asanas and linking breath with movement. Designed to increase strength, improve flexibility, lengthen the spine and build the core with creative sequencing and flowing transitions.

Aerial Fit & Fly

Please take a Beginners Aerial Class first!  Designed to introduce basic toning, strengthening and sculpting, that will prepare and enhance your body for Aerial Yoga practice. The swing will be used to support and enhance asanas (postures) while using your own body weight as resistance to build long, lean and toned muscles. Pranayama (breathing techniques) will be practiced to create heat, to cool and to enhance the mind and body connection. A deep savasana will end this class, allowing the body to absorb the benefits, fully.

Beginners Gentle Yoga

This class is designed for students new to yoga, yogis with a beginner’s heart and those who enjoy a slower more relaxed pace!

Students will be introduced to the history and basic principles of yoga. Being guided through postures and relaxation as well as advised in the use of props and modifications to help make postures more accessible to each body style. 

Each class will focus on specific, basic postures which will be incorporated with breath awareness, stretching, and relaxation.

The practices are intended to encourage inner awareness, relaxation, and the basic knowledge of yoga asanas (postures) so that students may cultivate their own personal practice.

Big Bliss Yoga

Based on the teachings of Dianne Bondy, Amber Karnes and Anne Guest-Jelley, this body positive beginner practice is dedicated to yogis in larger bodies.  Students will be guided in the basic principles of asana, pranayama, meditation and relaxation in a space that is welcoming, safe and peaceful. Adaptions and modifications will be offered during instruction to encourage the proper form and alignment that honors all of our different architectures and personal story.  Body Bliss is a caring community of students that embraces body affirmation, inner peace, growth, and self-confidence.

Breath, Balance & Rhythm Yoga

The intention of this beginners level class is to build awareness to the power of our breath and how it supports us in both body and mind. The class begins with centering in breath.  Students will be guided through gentle movements to open and strengthen joints, followed by a sequence of traditional postures with adaptations and modifications to build mindfulness and boundaries with balance and coordination.  Light rhythmic movements invite the class to become more mindful of the connections the breath has with our body.  Relaxation (Savasana) will be followed by meditation to help students meet their breath and  become more connected to their own personal journey.

Chair Yoga

Chair Yoga is suitable for everyone who wants to improve their health and well-being. Chairs and other props, such as blocks and bolsters, will be used in a Hatha inspired yoga class to improve mobility, strength, balance, circulation, respiration, digestion, and clarity of mind.  In this class, we will focus on spinal mobility and core body strength through the use of postures and movement; all coordinated with purposeful breathing.
People of every age, ability, strength, or experience level are welcome in Chair Yoga.

Gentle Yoga

Gentle yoga is designed to create connection to your breath, using gentle postures, stretches and movement. We'll transition from posture to posture incorporating holds and breathing to allow our body to settle in, stretch, release and increase flexibility as well as range of motion. Take this time to truly discover how good it feels to slow down, invite deeper movement and improve the awareness of our breath. All levels, including beginners, are welcome in this class.

Hatha Yoga

This class is designed for students who are growing their yoga practice and exploring beyond a Beginners class.

Students will be introduced to the history and basic principles of yoga. Being guided through postures, breathing techniques and relaxation as well as advised in the use of props and modifications to help make postures more accessible to each body style. 

Each class will focus on specific, basic postures which will be incorporated with breath awareness, stretching, and relaxation.

The practices are intended to encourage inner awareness, relaxation, and the basic knowledge of yoga asanas (postures) so that students may cultivate their own personal practice.

Mindful Yoga

All Levels

Designed as a mindful or awareness based practice, you are guided through asanas (postures) and encouraged to develop the natural skills of awareness, concentration and attention.  By tuning into the experience of our breath, body, thoughts and emotions we access our internal wisdom, which helps us in the reality of daily life and to respond to challenges from a place of awareness and not simply reaction.  We increase inner and outer stability, by connecting awareness of Body and Mind.

Power Vinyasa Flow

Power Vinyasa is a "meditation in motion" that will enhance and transform your body, mind and spirit. Built on a solid basics foundation, this class flows through a thoughtful sequence of sun salutations while expanding the principles of alignment and breath. Students are challenged to get outside their comfort zone to take their practice to the next level. Modifications are given to help reach your individual fullest potential.  Temperature of room is set to warm (about 80 degrees), is sweaty and fun...so Bring a Towell!

Simply Yoga

Simply yoga is about reclaiming simplicity. Providing you with an active practice that will focus on breath work, strengthening the body, relaxation and meditation.

Sit or Stand Yoga
Perfect for individuals managing physical disabilities or limitations. This practice encourages an exploration of the many variations and adaptions offered in yoga all in the name of accessibility. With the assistance of props and modifications, you will be guided through a traditional practice of centering yourself, connecting to breath awareness, followed by light stretches, postures and relaxation.  Special focus will be on safe transitions from floor, chairs and standing. You'll be offered assistance and extra time in transitioning from one posture to the next.  With this practice, discover improved breath awareness, sense of balance, direction, mobility, flexibility, strength and stability. It builds confidence and creativity in body, mind and spirit.

Vinyasa Yoga

This is a Power Vinyasa class, "meditation in motion", that will enhance and transform your body, mind and spirit. Built on a solid basics foundation, this class flows through a thoughtful sequence of sun salutations while expanding the principles of alignment and breath. Yoga Flow

Designed for Yogis of All Levels, this class will guide us through postures and sequences to enhance our current practice while offering the ability to deeply connect into our bodies.  By uniting our breath, mind and body, through flowing sequences and strong asana
holds, we are able to dive deep into inner awareness, into the stillness that delivers strength, connectedness and the ability for release.

Yoga Stretch & Strengthen

This class is beginner friendly and ideal for students seeking a practice to focus and release. Designed to increase mobility, balance, and foundational strength, we'll enhance breath control and discover the strengthening benefit of slow stretches with proper alignment, often with the use of props.  Become stronger and more flexible while securely moving into variations of each posture that meet your body's needs.  Develop a deeper sense of relaxation and release in mind, body and spirit. 

Walk Strong!

Fitness Class for all Levels. Walk Strong is an easy to follow indoor walking class that incorporates unique. basic steps with strength training. Great for all ages and activity levels, Walk Strong can decrease resting heart rate, improve circulation, decrease stress levels and help to release unwanted weight. Each class is segmented into 1 mile, 2 mile and 3 miles, so the class meets you where you are! This is a fun way to Start or Jumpstart your activity and health!

Yin Yoga by Candlelight

Candlelight Yin Yoga is a quiet practice in our intimate studio lit only with candles, using long holds to warm muscles and target deep tissues that lay beneath the superficial muscle layer. Tapping into the connective tissues such as the ligaments, bones and joints, which can often be neglected in traditional workouts and vigorous yoga classes, to improve flexibility. The passive stretches, which are held for long periods of time, are designed to free muscle tissue stagnation, lubricate joints and strengthen bone. The class is appropriate for all fitness levels and poses can be modified to accommodate physical limitations.

Yin Yang Yoga 

Is a practice designed to warm the body and cool the body, harmoniously.  The sequencing encourages the mindful holding of postures as well as flowing through postures to create an overall energetically balanced experience.  You'll receive all the benefits of a Yin and Hatha style class with the restful, mindful moments to allow for a dynamic mind, body, spirit connection.

Yoga Basics

This class is designed for students new to yoga and yogis looking to refine alignment!

In each class, students will be introduced to Yoga postures. The postures will be deconstructed and rebuilt to learn the proper positioning of each body part.  Time will be taken to share information about alignment in each individual body because every Body is made differently.  Once the review and practice of building the postures properly are complete, we will combine these with transitions to learn the feel of a traditional hatha or vinyasa yoga class while maintaining awareness of proper alignment. 

Yoga, Chakras & You

Chakras are energy centers in your body. In this series, we will explore the 7 major chakras, their relationship to yoga poses and the effect these centers can have on your day to day life. 
Discover what imbalances in the energy centers can effect in your body and learn how to create balance within each chakra to clear away stagnant energy and find balance within your body, your mind and your life. This class is for all levels.
