Q: What drew you to yoga?
A: Curiosity, postpartum depression and a flyer for a free class combined at the perfect moment.
Q: At what point did you know yoga was a permanent part of your life?
A: Sometime during my first year of practice, when I began to experience profound benefits surpassing my initial expectations.
Q: How has yoga helped you and when you started, did you realize that would be a benefit?
A: Like many others, I've experienced that yoga practice delivers beyond expectations.
Q: What is your favorite posture?
A: I do not have a favorite posture.
Q: How often do you practice?
A: Daily. Some days I'm not able to carve out as much time as I'd like, but every little bit matters.
Q: What is your least favorite posture?
A: I do not have a least favorite, but there are postures I've decided that do not serve my body.
Q: What tip can you share for those starting out?
A: Begin a simple home practice. Be consistent.
Q: What tip can you share for those growing their practice?
A: Seek variety in classes, styles and teachers.
Q: Can you share your favorite recipe with us?
A: Emerald Pineapple Smoothie
1 C. Frozen Pineapple
1 C. Spinach
1 C. Almond Milk (more for a smoother blend)
Place all ingredients in blender. Blend well. Serve over ice and enjoy!
Q: Besides yoga, what do you enjoy doing?
A: Outdoor adventures, reading and cooking.
